What will you be doing? Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with a team of architects to influence IT architecture across Zurich, focusing on Global Digital Platforms (GDP).Solution Architect Role: Operate as a solution architect within projects, while also thinking across programs to deliver architecture assets and integration patterns.Technical Leadership: Provide insights on the impact and adoption of architectures, helping teams navigate technical challenges and accelerate delivery.Communication & Alignment: Lead architecture for specific projects and influence key stakeholders including IT, business, and senior executives.Hands-On Development: Work directly with development teams to implement programs according to the architecture using various techniques such as ASDs, prototyping, and deep dives.Establish Best Practices: Develop patterns and best practices to support programs and mature Zurich's digital architecture through delivery.Evangelise Architecture: Promote architecture patterns and technologies to the Zurich group, including other Group/BU architects and developers.What are we looking for? What You'll Need: Professional Experience: Experience, preferably in large corporates with an agile/start-up mindset.Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in full stack development, cloud architecture (Azure, AWS), application architecture, and working in a global organisation.Industry Knowledge: Relevant insurance industry experience (P&C, Life) and up-to-date knowledge of IT trends.Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across cultures and geographies.Stakeholder Management: Proven influencing and delivery skills, with the ability to manage external suppliers and consultants.Technical Skills: Full Stack Development: Front-end focus.Cloud Architecture: Experience with Azure and AWS.Application Architecture: Proven track record in various technologies, systems, projects, products, and vendors.API Design & Standards: RAML/OAS knowledge.Management Platforms: Experience with Azure and MuleSoft.Agile/DevOps: Familiarity with ADO, Jira, Safe, and program delivery.Communication: Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience.Who we are: At Zurich we aspire to be one of the most responsible and impactful businesses in the world and the best global insurer.
