The purpose of the role As part of the Supply Chain team, you will provide in-depth expertise on demand to enable seamless delivery to our customers. The role is the linchpin that brings together the forecast from our customer base (Sales function) and Procurement to plan timely availability of raw materials, allowing Manufacturing to produce on time and to plan, meeting our OTIF requirements for customers, thereby directly contributing to customer satisfaction.
Based on the Forecast tool (Blue Yonder), you will generate a base forecast. You will lead demand planning meetings to develop a consensus demand plan. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Demand & Inventory plan, you will analyze historical sales trends.
In the Unit S&OP meeting, you will submit this demand plan for approval to be used for inventory and production plans.
You will drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, increase forecast quality, optimize inventory levels, and reduce obsoletes. Additionally, you will support the analysis, preparation, and optimization of our Supply Chain processes.
Responsibilities:
Generate a base forecast and lead demand planning meetings with the sales and customer services teams.Increase the quality of the forecast by collaborating with sales teams and strategic customers to share sales forecasts.Be responsible for KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, and obsoletes linked to forecasts.Manage appropriate stock levels driven by forecast improvements.Provide expertise as the EU demand planning and inventory optimization expert across different Units in the EU, sharing in-depth knowledge of tools and processes to improve best practices.Proactively contribute to the development and enhancements of Blue Yonder, continuously looking for ways to improve its use for better results and accuracy in data forecasting.Support the implementation of EU SC Optimization projects as assigned and drive continuous improvement in Demand and Inventory Planning across the EU SC.Requirements: Master's in Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.Analytical mindset with a strong affinity for working with numbers.Good communicator, proficient in collaborating with Sales teams.Fluency in English; Dutch and/or Spanish is an asset.In-depth knowledge of the role's impact on customers, both internal and external.Understanding of the impact of new product introductions, delistings, and bi-annual product churn on the business.Advanced level of Excel proficiency.Knowledge of PowerBI and Demand and Supply Planning Optimization tools is an asset.Minimum 2-4 years of experience in SC Process Optimization; Inventory optimization experience is an asset.Actively seeks self-development and new ways to grow.Able to work collaboratively with others across Supply Chain to meet shared objectives.Demonstrated effective multitasking and active learning skills.Ability to influence local teams for alignment and proficiency in working with different cultures.Working at Griffith Foods
