The Control Tower Supervisor is responsible for the management and coordination of spot shipments across multiple modes of transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery in accordance with Lear procedures and regulations.
In addition, he/she will manage team KPIs and processes and provide training and support to control tower analysts.
Responsibilities: Manage team KPIs and processes to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery in accordance with Lear procedures and regulations Manage shipments for Lear equipment in Europe based on plant needs.
Ensure all shipments adhere to Lear company procedures, regulations and standards Provides training to analysts in the Lear network, including routes, warehouses, facilities and customs brokers.
Serves as primary contact for carriers, customers and suppliers.
Address and resolve shipment issues or delays and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate shipment records, including tracking, invoices and compliance documentation.
Analyze and report on shipment performance metrics.
Audit of transport invoices Identify and implement improvements to improve control tower operations Requirements: University degree in engineering, supply chain, business or related field (logistics major preferred).
Fluent English.
Spanish and any other language would be a plus.
Preferred: 3 years of experience in logistics, control tower environment or work for a freight forwarder Experience managing road, air, sea and rail shipments Experience using Traffic Management Systems (TMS) MS Office (Excel and Outlook) #J-18808-Ljbffr
