It houses Mare Nostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for Euro HPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. We value diversity of experiences and skills, and you could bring unique perspectives to our team.Context And MissionThe BSC communication team's mission is to publicize the BSC and its activity through the center's own channels (web, profiles in social networks, corporate communication materials, visits to Mare Nostrum supercomputer), the media and the organization and participation in activities to strengthen the public awareness and understanding of science and technology. It also manages the internal communication of the center.The chosen person will manage media relations and supervise and produce scientific and institutional content to engage target audiences.Key DutiesTo prepare press releases and other communications materials for different audiences.To liaise with media contacts ensuring key messages are communicated accurately and effectively and keeping a close eye on media coverage.To monitor and analyze the results of communications activities using key performance indicators (KPIs).To produce and / or supervise the production of content in different formats such as videos, infographics etc for use in different communication channels.To maintain permanent contact with the researchers and dissemination officers of the different departments to identify topics likely to be disclosed
