The Commis Chef will support the line chefs in food preparation, ensuring all recipes and presentations meet the hotel's quality standards.JOB DESCRIPTION:Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to the hotel's recipes and standards, including cleaning, chopping, and preparing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients.Cooking Assistance: Support the line chefs during service, cooking, and presenting dishes under their supervision.Quality Control: Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently and to a high standard.Sanitation and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, adhering to all hygiene and food safety regulations.Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control and stock management, reporting any need for replenishment to the line chef or head chef.Team Collaboration: Work effectively with all kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.Learning and Development: Show interest and willingness to learn and improve culinary skills, participating in training sessions and following the guidance of the line chef and head chef.Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts, Professional Cooking, or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage.Passion for cooking and a desire to develop a career in the culinary industry.Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
