We're working with a leading payments company who are looking for a Spanish-qualified lawyer to join their team for 9 months on a maternity leave cover.This is a really exciting role for a commercial legal counsel to work with the company's European sales teams while also supporting the wider business in a range of commercial and legal matters.You'll primarily support Spain, Portugal and Eastern Europe countries - it's a dynamic role with regular exposure to senior stakeholders.Responsibilities will include:Analysis, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreementsSupporting senior legal colleagues with negotiating agreementsWorking with colleagues and functional leaders on a variety of strategic projects, regulatory issues, product development, business development opportunities and legal department operational mattersLegal research and assistance on applicable requirements including regulations pertaining to payment services and electronic money, AML and counter-terrorist financing, outsourcing, data protection and privacy, consumer protection, information security, and competitionCreating and advising on templates, policies and procedures to address new requirementsHelping to drive and direct process changes to ensure continued efficiencyIdeally you will be:A Spanish-qualified lawyer with 5 years' post qualification experienceAvailable on short-noticeExperienced in commercial contracts, with a background from the payments or financial services industryUnderstanding of the payments industry and regulatory landscapeStarting in December, the role will be full-time for 9 months, with 3 days per week in the company's Madrid office.If this role could be of interest, we'd love to hear from you!#J-18808-Ljbffr
