To thrive in this role, you will define an inspiring vision and strategy for the International product portfolio, while leading a team of product managers who are responsible for working across various stakeholders including:
Business Unit leaders
Sales and Service Leaders
Developers
Product Managers
to ensure the vision/strategy is fully aligned and executed consistently in all markets. In addition, the CPO is responsible for defining and achieving the strategic business objectives spanning revenue growth, client retention, market share, and product innovation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
Influence Product and Go-To-Market Strategies:
Define multi-product strategies and drive a unified product portfolio vision.
Align cross-functional teams and stakeholders on product strategies.
Identify/ensure clear go to market owners for each product launch.
Partner with Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market (GTM) and pricing policies are aligned with objectives.
Influence and Drive Product Portfolio Planning and Prioritization:
Conceptualize new markets to penetrate and drive new applicable product innovations.
Define product roadmap aligning to business strategy and overall GPT level portfolio outcomes.
Guide product planning to address competitive space.
Partner with engineering, design and business leaders ensuring adequate support to realize product goals for the year.
Lead development and negotiations of strategic partnerships with software/service providers and manage existing relationships with alliances as they relate directly within respective domains.
Customer/User Experience and Market Orientation:
Define and/or influence requirements to enable and leverage usability studies, business and product usage data, external industry trends, and metrics to generate insights.
Partner with UX teams, supporting and encouraging an iterative design driven approach; integrating the user experience design process as part of the product definition and discovery process.
Thoroughly understand competitors and their offerings. Know the market and identify new partnerships or acquisition targets to broaden or enhance a product portfolio.
Partner with Product, Corporate Strategy, and Business Leaders to execute due diligence as needed.
Analyze market trends, articulate a market vision for the future and be regarded as a thought leader in the product/technology landscape.
Be a committed customer advocate, empowering the team to engage customers.
Serve as the key client-facing contact for the product portfolio.
Engage critical 3rd party influencers, analysts, and consultants to educate the market on ADPs portfolio of products and services.
Monitor commercial success as well as overall product performance and competitiveness in the marketplace and take corrective actions as appropriate.
Product Acumen and Metrics:
Expertise in measuring standards for product(s) effectiveness, identifying trends, reporting outcomes, and driving priorities to improve outcomes.
Identify the most meaningful KPIs to track across products to drive business unit Objectives and Key results.
Adapt at crafting Objectives and Key results for product portfolio.
Understand and influence technical architectures and opportunities in order to identify opportunities for synergy and collaboration across the portfolio.
Partner with development and security leaders to understand and prioritize enhancements required to improve product security.
Product Leadership and Impact:
Effectively lead and inspire people, with leadership skills and behaviors, across the organization.
Lead global product teams through rapid, data-driven iterations focused on customer and stakeholder outcomes.
Drive impact of all engagements with team members and extended team members through delivery and effectiveness.
Ensure that the organization understands the vision and direction for the product(s); responsible for communicating and reinforcing strategy across teams.
Partner with engineering leaders to continuously improve and drive an effective organizational design and team engagement and operating model.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
