Position overview: As part of the EMEA Regional Process Team, you will assist the EMEA Regional Chemical Process in terms of project installations, audits, problem solving, best practice rollout, innovation, cost reductions, and maintenance of the nominated process equipment within our EMEA facilities. You will also train appropriate personnel in the operation and maintenance to a suitable level of competence within EMEA as requested and ensure safe working practices on chemical handling are followed in the manufacturing locations. This role requires 90% travel across the EMEA region. Key responsibilities include: Ensure that plant processes are maintained within JBS/SOP or where required revise the process to ensure no risks to quality. Continually review the quality of the process with a view of continuous improvement. Ensure current Ball maintenance standards are adhered to and help revise standards as needed. Ensure Environmental Consent Levels arising from the process are maintained in the Water Waste Treatment systems and advise corrective actions or designs to comply. Regular review of plant service requirements/operation. Promote the use of Six Sigma tools within the controls of the Front End. Liaise with Central Supply Chain on process and supplier issues. Co-ordinate supplier meetings. Report directly to Regional Chemical Process Sr. Manager with indirect reporting to Plant Managers, EMEA Regional Process Director, and Sector Directors. Work closely with plant personnel to maintain all job instructions. Manage Plant and Engineering process-related projects from conception to commissioning. Ensure Health and Safety regulations are upheld within the plant working environment. What are we looking for? Certification or grade or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry. At least 5 years hands-on experience on the pre-treatment lines with ferrous and non-ferrous alloy including surface technologies, plating, metalworking fluid, coatings, and waste water treatment plant including chemical and biological. All maintenance requirements. Set up and problem-solving aspects of Soluble Oil, Can Washers, and Waste Water Treatment systems. Solid experience and proven track record in a field of high-speed manufacturing, waste water treatment including water recycling. Fluent in written and spoken English.
