VHIR offers a vacant position for a Cellular Production Technician to work for the Project "Next generation TIL therapy targeting neoantigens for immune checkpoint blockade-resistant tumors", led by Dr. Elena Garralda, PI of the Early Clinical Drug Development Group.
The position involves working closely with Dr Alena Gros, PI of the Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy Group and with the Blood and Tissue Bank (Banc de Sang i Teixits – BST) to produce the TILs required for an on-going clinical trial carried out at the Early Drug Development Group and Research Unit for Molecular Therapy of Cancer – CaixaResearch (UITM-CaixaResearch).
Education and qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedicine, Pharmacy or Health related Sciences.
At least 6 years of experience working in cell expansion and cell productions.
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
Desired: Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedicine, Pharmacy or Health related Sciences.

A willingness to learn.
Experience and knowledge: Required: Demonstrable knowledge in handling and managing human samples.
Knowledge of basic procedures in biomedical and, more specifically, immunological research following good laboratory practices (GLP).
Experience in lymphocyte expansion.
Knowledge of safety, risk prevention and waste management in laboratories.
Advanced knowledge of computer tools in their area of responsibility.
Experience in molecular biology techniques (cloning, construct design) Experience in DNA and RNA extraction from tissues and cell dry pellets Experience in APCs culture, expansion and RNA electroporation Experience in screening for neoantigen reactive cells Experience in cytometry and ELISPOT analysis Desired: Experience in working in clinical environments and multidisciplinary teams Main responsibilities and duties: Generation and maintenance of cell cultures, guaranteeing the traceability of the products and processes used.
Screening for neoantigen reactive cells Control of critical parameters for cell culture.
Sampling for the realization of sterility test and other quality control tests that may be determined.
All type of tasks delegated by the Production Manager and/or Technical Manager, as appropriate.
Labour conditions: Full-time position: 40h/week.
Starting date: immediate Gross annual salary: 28.000€.
Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
Salary ranges are in line with our Collective agreement pay scale.
