We want to get on board a Regional Category Manager (CM) who manages the commodity of Civil works & Installation & Commissioning for Signaling and Electrification.
As part of a Business Unit, we have Regional responsibility for total Purchasing Volume (PVO) of Commodity based on defined material/ ESN scope, in the respective region.
Organization, controlling and measurement of Pooling and Procurement activities in a virtual/ disciplinary team, working with different Regions from Egypt, Turkey, Asia, Spain and Latin America.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Management of Commodities: Manage (Sub)commodities globally and foster cross-functional alignment within area of responsibility to ensure best in Supplier Data base (Sub)Commodity structure and organization.
Define (Sub)Commodity structure, strategy and organization in alignment with respective Manager; Develop and implement installation service productivity programs/ measures to achieve the maximum contribution to the targets.
Internal Stakeholders: Direct and manage interdisciplinary work groups in which regional units will participate with the objective of achieving a sustainable increase in the competitiveness of the business unit.
Ensure PVO transparency globally by, amongst others, correct ESN coding to ensure a correct reporting and to derive an appropriate commodity strategy.
(Sub) Commodity strategies and Pooling strategies: Define and implement strategies (based on conducted demand, market and supplier analyses) within area of responsibility.
In countries where there is no Purchasing organization to bid and hire installation services, the Regional Category Manager will be responsible from the creation of the need to the contracting of the services.
Comply with the KPIs related to the position (CNI, CTG and ANR).
Negotiations/Contracts: Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize savings.
e-Procurement: Foster usage of eProcurement tools (eRfX, eAuction/ eBidding).
Knowledge management: Forward systematically all relevant Procurement related project information to keep all project participants up to date.
Risk and opportunity management: Identify procurement risks, opportunities and market forces.
Supplier Management: Perform Supplier Management including documentation and communication of suppliers, regular supplier and strategic evaluations.
Escalation level: Responsible for achieving solutions that meet the business when situations arise between the project and the supplier.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION Degree or Master Mechanical, Electromechanical, Civil Works or similar.
Deep knowledge in Telecommunications, Signalling, Civil Works, Cables & Power Supplies Installation.
Interest if experience in Railway Infrastructure systems, Signalling and Commissioning.
Fluent speaking and writing level of Spanish and English.
More than 4 years of proven experience as Category Manager (Strategic Purchasing) in the contracting of site installation services.
Experience in project management and field experience, mastering installation phases in railway and/or energy projects, highly valued.
Solid Contract Management skills.
Professional level of SAP, Excel, Power point, Word.
Systematic use of know-how to solve complex problems with high professional judgement competence.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Availability to travel.
Located in Madrid.
