Business Process Analyst, VAT Operations Job ID: 2805351 | Amazon EU SARL (Spain Branch) - C16 Amazon's vision is to be Earth's most customer-centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online.
Amazon's diverse online business requires VAT filings in a number of jurisdictions across Europe and creates specific VAT compliance obligations relating to third parties (3P) that sell via our websites.
These 3P obligations are the responsibility of the European VAT Compliance & Controllership team supported by VAT Operations team ensuring effective executions of tasks.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Business Process Analyst to join us in one of the team's locations - Bratislava or Barcelona.
Key job responsibilities: This role requires a self-starter with strong data analytical skills, a keen attention to detail and good track record of hitting deadlines.
Successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple requests and efficiently execute deliverables.
You will use your analytical skills and demonstrate your ability to interpret clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.
Work may also include some mainstream VAT compliance activities, supporting internal and external audits, and liaising with colleagues in VAT C&C as well as Tax and the wider business.
You will need an understanding of financial systems.
You may also be involved in projects that have a VAT compliance impact.
You will be expected to take ownership of your activities, identify process improvement opportunities for existing process and controls, and drive positive change across the organization.
About the team: The VAT Operations team supports day-to-day operations on key processes to ensure Amazon's compliance within supported regulations (EU/UK markets).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses - Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level - Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
