As a Business Development Manager at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving business growth, and contributing to the success of our organization.Your responsibilities will include:Developing and managing key client relationships.Providing guidance and support to ensure the highest quality proposals, and developing strategies to improve sales.Leveraging deep market knowledge to attract clients within Government and Public Health target markets.Conducting thorough research, pursuing leads, and converting prospects into awarded contracts.Cultivating and managing relationships with Government, Commercial, and Global Health Sector clients.Driving the marketing of ICON GPHS services by maintaining and expanding customer relationships.Consistently meeting or exceeding annual new business sales targets through successful deal closures.Identifying, qualifying, tracking, and pursuing new business opportunities while monitoring competitors.Collaborating with internal teams to devise effective business capture strategies and support proposal development.Participating in internal and external meetings to promote business opportunities and engage clients.Maintaining accurate data in ICON GPHS's CRM system, preparing reports, and contributing to marketing efforts.Your Profile:In-depth knowledge of Phases I-IV clinical development and contract research organization services, as well as scientific or technical services.Experience in successful business development.Preferred background within the Federal government, particularly in medical research and life sciences Agencies.Proven track record of new business capture, proposal development, and strategy development for Federal Government and global public health sectors.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead discussions with diverse subject matter experts and decision-makers.Competency in Salesforce or similar customer relationship management solutions.What ICON can offer you:Our success depends on the quality of our people.
