Venue Barcelona What We Are Looking for ISGlobal is seeking a person who provides highly qualified input and research support in order to better exploit the scientific contribution of the project.
PhD in computational biology / bioinformatics or MsC with equivalent experience will be determinant.
This person will be in charge of taking over and managing activities of the project Development of a new intelligent and predictive tool for the early diagnosis and improved treatment of sepsis funded by Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.
The overall project goal is to develop a precision medicine solution for the diagnosis of sepsis by combining faster pathogen identification and antimicrobial susceptibility results, together with an immune system classifier method to deliver a rapid and accurate management of the patient.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS PhD in computational biology / bioinformatics or MsC with equivalent experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise the correct development of the project from a technical point of view.
Identify the project needs and find solutions on its deviations.
Implementation and execution of specific analysis pipelines for the project.
Interpretation and presentation of research results.
SPECIFIC DUTIES Minimum of 2 years of experience in comparative genomics / phylogenetics projects.
Demonstrable practical knowledge of computer programming languages: python, R, bash... Proficiency in processing and analyzing WGS, RNA-seq, and other relevant datasets.
Experience with software version control, Nextflow technologies and/or HPC environments is a plus.
Analysis of the whole genome sequence data of different bacteria with different aims.
Analysis of gene variation in antibiotic resistant selected mutant.
Implementation and execution of specific analysis pipelines for the project.
Interpretation and presentation of research results.
