ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: We are hiring a Billing Specialist to join our team.
We are a mission-driven team whose members are based in different countries, ensuring an almost continuous invoice activity to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of billing processes and a team-player propensity.
The dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist (you) will help us with our billing processes and help our teams to operate as efficiently as possible.
You will primarily focus on invoicing for our clients that will drive the billing process being accurate and timely .
You will work closely alongside Credit Collection, Customer Success and other key business partners and report to the VP of Operations.
THIS JOB IS TEMPORARY: RESPONSIBILITIES: You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date billing records, ensuring compliance with contract terms, regulations, and billing guidelines.
You communicate effectively with Sales and Customer Success/Credit Collection teams in response to their inquiries and about key B2B initiatives, through email and Jira.
You maintain detailed records of billing activities, including invoice tracking, payment status, and client communications, using designated accounting software and tools.
You monitor and reconcile billing reports to identify discrepancies, errors, or potential issues, and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain billing accuracy.
You stay informed about changes in government regulations, contract requirements, and billing practices and implement updates or modifications to billing processes as needed.
SUCCESSFUL BILLING SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE: You have prior experience (minimum of 3 years) in billing, invoicing You can clearly communicate the importance of an issue or a feature that needs to be implemented.
Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and stakeholders to find solutions, increase productivity, efficiency and team success.
Familiarity with government contract billing processes, regulations and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of and experience with NetSuite Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex billing concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
