Description of role
The CKH Group is looking for an energetic and high-performance Audit Supervisor to lead the audit team. The Audit Supervisor will be required to take ownership of a client engagement while supervising a team. The Audit Supervisor will report to the audit manager, located in the UK. The Audit Supervisor will obtain exposure to auditing under UK companies and FRS102.
Responsibilities: Plan and oversee annual and quarterly auditsPerform effective risk and control assessmentsComplete audits on time and submit reports to client audit managerResponsible for the daily supervision of audit staff and provide support for the development of the team and the completion of performance evaluationsPresent audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiencyWork directly, and develop relationships with UK managers and partnersCarry out and provide audit services using our bespoke risk-based audit approachAct as the senior on audits reporting directly to managerThe individual will be responsible for the planning of the audit file right through to the completion sections, including drafting the financial statements, the management letter and the letter of representationResponsible for managing a team of up to five staffYou will supervise, brief and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit teamCommunicate with the audit manager regularly on the audit and make recommendations to them regarding how our clients can improve their accounting systems and controlsPerform 'accounts preparation' jobs either from the client's trial balance or from their original accounting recordsAppraise other members of the team following completion of jobsRequirements: Experience Essential:
Preparation of Financial StatementsExcellent understanding of IFRS or the US GAAP/UK GAAP FRS102 accounting frameworkProven experience as an auditor senior or supervisorProject organization experienceIn-depth understanding of auditing and control practicesExperience with medium to small audit engagements preferredAdvantageous:
International exposure particularly auditing American or UK companiesQualifications Essential:
Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting OR equivalent4 years' external audit experiencePersonal attributes Self-driven and assertive in decision-makingSolid work ethic and ability to self-manageStrong mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to work with people of different culturesExcellent communication skills, written and telephonicComputer skills Essential:
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookFair understanding of an ERP systemExperience of CaseWare and Sage would be an advantageAdvantageous:
