The role centres around supporting the Payroll Manager and coordinating the process of multiple international payrolls for contractors and workers at high volume for the European Union (EU) and the Rest of the World (ROW).
Skills, Experience and Knowledge Support all aspects of international payroll.Coordinate the payroll for Workers/Contractors within the EU and ROW.Supervise, manage, and answer payroll queries.Understand and support the foreign exchange market for payments.Assist and aid the Contract Experts for the EU and ROW with high-level queries.Liaise and support India's back-office team.Ability to work effectively, even when under pressure.Support and manage the payroll team alongside the Payroll Manager.Build interdepartmental relationships and work in collaboration.Identify improvements to invoicing and timesheet processes.Participate in cross-departmental meetings to improve processes and resolve workflow issues.Essential Experience and Requirements Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) or previous financial team and management experience.Experience in dealing with multiple queries of high complexity promptly.Ability to problem solve and find solutions promptly following business needs and company values.Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work to deadlines while prioritising effectively.Excellent organisational and delegation skills.Complete accountability.Foreign Exchange experience and understanding of maintaining and cascading changes to the teams.Experience dealing in multi-currency and international payments.Experience with country-to-country transactions, understanding local currencies and current conversion rates.Liaising with in-country payment teams as required.Reconciling payslips according to contractor/worker payments as stated on the spreadsheet.Lead the team on when to make payments.Ensure timely and accurate statutory payments.Maintain a high level of communication between in-country set-up.Liaise with banks for missing and returned payments.Conduct regular 1:1 reviews with teams, including appraisals and professional development.Person Specification A real team player.A great and inspiring leader.Ability to train and supervise a team successfully while ensuring company values are delivered in all aspects of the role.Confident communicator.An additional EU or another language (not required but advantageous).A leader that leads by example.Exceptional customer excellence and experience skills.Highly proactive and organised.Salary: 40,000€ - £45,000€ pa | Mon – Fri 8:30 – 17:30 | Hybrid | Full Time, Permanent | Barcelona Office Job Type: Full-time
