Position: Assets & Liabilities Operations Accounting Control Expert (Openbank) Country: Spain We are the digital bank of the Santander Group, currently undergoing a technological transformation and international expansion process.

Mission and Responsibilities: Definition and certification of accounting schemas for Assets and Liabilities products related to a new Core Banking model.
Analysis, definition, implementation, and validation of controls to ensure correct accounting behavior of Openbank's Cores.
Design and validate new control tools linked to accounting control (queries, reports, dashboards, etc.).
Define and implement new procedures with local Banking Operations and corporate units to execute and report the control model results.
Guarantee accounting control during migration and coexistence between current and future Cores.
Ensure control model execution and its efficiency once in production.
Monitor BAUs execution and ongoing search for efficiency.
To be successful in the role you must have: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
Advanced English and Spanish; international working experience is an asset.
More than 5 years of proven experience in the banking sector, preferably in operations or accounting control.
Expert knowledge and experience with Assets (Loans and Mortgages) and Liabilities (Current Accounts, Saving Accounts, and Deposits).
Additionally, understanding the accounting flows related to these products and maintaining control is necessary.
Knowledge of other products/services is an asset.
Additional Qualifications: Experience creating accounting controls within the banking sector and knowledge of regulatory reporting.
Team spirit with strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience in leading teams, both internal and external.
Proactive, able to work in dynamic environments with tight deadlines, multitasking, and adaptability.
Motivated by innovation and technology advances in the banking sector.
Consultant experience or involvement in IT transformation and accounting migrations projects is appreciated.
Familiarity with tools such as T, JIRA, Confluence, Partenón, Microstrategy, Clarity, or reconciliation tools is an asset.
Knowledge of SQL or experience working with databases is also valued.
