At G+D Mobile Security, the world leader in secure telecommunications systems via SIM / eSIM, we are looking for an Application Engineer . The Application Engineer job is a technical role to manage day-to-day operations in our on-prem data center in all service delivery scenarios, primarily in regards to service requests, changes, incident and problem resolutions, and facilitation of second-line support in productive environments. The Application Engineer works closely with IT Stack, Database Engineers, and development teams to ensure services run with high performance and improve current processes by participating in new release deployments or implementing automation solutions.
Responsibilities: Installation and deployment of software applications developed by the R&D team from the same company to different environments (test and production).
Automate application installation and process continuous improvement by using Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes technologies.
Troubleshoot application incidents and coordinate with other teams in case of database, infrastructure, or software issues.
Perform needed or on-demand health checks of services/solutions.
Provide input regarding future and continuous needs in regards to new investments to maintain existing and future services to Data the Center Manager.
Meet compliance and information security requirements in Service Operations.
Evaluate, improve, and add applicable instructions.
Ensure the synergy and communication with development and other application teams in other global locations.
Knowledge and Skills: Licensed in IT or equivalent.
Know-how in Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Technical skillset in the software application area.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management.
Ability to work under pressure.
Solution and process improvement-oriented mindset.
Being an excellent team player.
Ability to adapt to changes.
Ability to follow given processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Fluent written and spoken English.
