Customer Traits and Prediction Team (aka C-TAP) provides the intelligence that helps Vista understand their customers better through the lens of traits, segmentation or machine learning models to serve them better product recommendations.
What You Will Do:As an Analytics Engineer, you will analyze data from across the organization to support decision making for marketing and digital product optimization. You'll also assist your team in understanding data flows and identifying gaps to improve system and operational processes. The insights generated will help the C-TAP team solve customer and business problems and explore new opportunities.
Data Analysis & Insights:Analyze customer transaction data to identify trends, patterns, and potential improvements in customer experiences.Access and interpret website interaction data to uncover user behavior and journey insights.Study product interaction data to determine usage patterns and opportunities for marketing initiatives.Leverage data to create and refine customer segmentation models, enabling personalization efforts.Based on the above data discovery, partner with the data scientist in the team to create new machine learning models or improve existing ones.Partner with data engineers in our team to build and maintain data pipelines that improve scalability and reliability of our data products.Partner with business stakeholders to understand their questions and enable self-service decisions by building dashboards.Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and tailored to the needs of marketing stakeholders.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, to ensure data integration and consistency across platforms.
Reporting & Presentation:Prepare and present detailed reports on findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management and marketing stakeholders.
Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.
Be curious and innovative:You will bring novel and untested ideas to the table to constantly innovate how we define and measure the success of our work for customers and the business.
Your Qualifications:A strong education and background in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, mathematics, BI visualization, or programming.
Ability to code in SQL.
Knowledge of Python.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Good communication and storytelling skills (articulate your message clearly based on your audience).
Nice to Have:Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar.Exposure to CI/CD concepts or exposure to data processing/orchestration technologies (i.e. DBT, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks).Real-world experience in solving challenges through analytical methods.Experience in designing/monitoring and analyzing experiments and on how to accurately interpret the test results.Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in personalization.Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on data handling and analysis.Why You'll Love Working Here:There is a lot to love about working at Vista.
