The Financial Analyst Role
This position will support WBD Latam Sports business. It will be responsible for the preparation of accurate, timely, and relevant financial reporting including ad hoc analysis and monthly forecast reporting to operations to aid in business decisions.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
Proficiency in Excel (intermediate-advanced) and other financial data analysis tools and techniques.
Ability to build confidence and trust with department members and external business partners.
Experience working with high volumes of data under strict deadlines. Ability to escalate issues.
Motivated by a challenging, high-energy environment. Proactive, fast learner with analytical skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline driven.
Qualifications & Experience...
1-2 years in accounting, finance, operations or other relevant analytic business experience.
Bachelor's degree or advanced student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalents.
Bilingual or proven advanced level of English is mandatory.
Experience in Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and PeopleSoft are a plus.
Interest in Sports is strongly preferred (almost mandatory).
Experience in the Entertainment industry is a plus.
Major Duties and Responsibilities...
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast processes for sports capex/cash investment and content amortization expense. Review contracts and amendments for budget and rights information. Demonstrate and maintain high standards of accountability to deliver superior quality financial information on a timely basis to Sports FP&A.
Reconcile actuals vs prior forecast/budget/prior year and provide variance explanations. Conduct Ad Hoc analysis as needed. Participate in assigned sports network meetings such as but not limited to: Sports Production / Cash Flow / Programming Financials Review.
Support development of systems, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient and accurate analysis. Seek process and routine improvements in duties and tasks under its scope.
