Accounts Payable Accountant - Temporary Contract We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant for a 6-month long contract to join our finance department in Barcelona.
RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible, in the AP Department, for following up on repetitive issues with local vendors and invoices, in close cooperation with the BPO team, managing the operations at a local level.
Your main focus:
You, acting as a Finance Business Partner, must support as an escalation point for the BPO (Business Partner Operations) weekly reminder emails to the Local Market. Act as the escalation point for the Accenture AP team where they are unable to reach a resolution with Local Market/supplier. Escalation points for AP processors with invoice and approver queries, if no resolution has been reached (No GR, PO, NPO etc.). Review weekly top ten accounts, including all critical suppliers where there are specific issues that could significantly impact business operations. Manage snow requests to update/change AP master data, and the urgent payments requests from the different business units. Join operational weekly calls with BPO to review AP accounts status and define an action plan to be reviewed each week on a regular basis. Support the local employees to understand the issues and workflows sent by SSC and how to solve/reply to them. Ensure GR/IR (good received/Invoice received) reporting for SOX controls is okay with the key users prior to approval from the LE controller. Validate that the report is received locally, distributed to the right contacts, and received back on time. Ensure LE controllers' signs and reports are sent back to SSC on time. Escalate to LE controller in case an employee is repeatedly appearing in the late/outstanding approval list. Support new projects. The team consists of three people, and you will work closely together with several departments such as Logistics, Marketing, and Demand Planning.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT You have a "Ciclo Formativo Superior" in Administration. As an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant, you have strong organizational and communication skills, and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse, and international environment. Other than that, you:
Minimum 1 year of experience in the Financial/Administrative Department, with preference given to Accounting/Supplier and/or Accounts Payable area. Advanced user level in Office applications. Fluent in Spanish and English, medium-high level in written and spoken communication. Basic knowledge of SAP (highly desirable). Ability to work in a team.
