You will be primarily responsible for developing mechanical/structural systems for subsonic/supersonic and hypersonic flights. You will be a part of our engineering team and interact with all engineering disciplines to resolve new issues as they arise. It is a unique project with unique opportunities for skill and experience.Tasks- Perform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures, components and systems- Guide structural optimization and design improvements- Deliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis, from GFEM to detailed analysis- Define sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysis- Deliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations and simplified estimates to inform the design- Support ground and flight tests- Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations- Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures- Support the definition and execution of the qualification and certification processRequirements- BS., MS., in an Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline- 8-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineer- FEM experience with Nastran, from building models to analysis, postprocessing, debugging- Experienced with stress hand calculation/analytical methods- Experience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospace- Experience with Flight and Ground Loads, Structural requirements, Calculations and reporting in the frame of aerospace regulations/certification standards- Experience with Matlab- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Knowledge of the English language is required.
